    Exclamation My 2004 GTI 1.8t

Week 3 of ownership, and some mods

Yes the rear needs to be lower. I know :/ Rear coils are all the way down, rear has maybe 4 more turns... should've downed it all the way. I think I'll remove the rear perch, but that's scary.... I don't want my spring to pop out!

    Specs:
    Vmaxx coilovers
    Toyo Proxes4 225/40/18 rear, 215/40/18 front.
    Miro STP-1 18x10 rear, 18x8.5 front.
    Blacked out sidemarker.
Clear lensed black fender turn signal repeater.
    Shorty antenna.
    Photoshopped front license plate holes.

    Enjoy:

In all honesty, I think you should lift the front a bit to make it even. The back is a good height. Just my $.02

I think it looks great. But to really get the proper stance, a little lower and it will be perfect!

Unhappy Re: My 2004 GTI 1.8t

ok so since we all agree, how the hell do I make it lower without doing stupid shit like notching my frame and hacking off my sway bar?(no offense to this who do that, that's just not my style :P)

the rear definitely needs to come down. and if u are 4 threads from the bottom then thats all you can do, except take the perches out. then just make the front to match, at that height you shouldnt need to notch frame or cut swaybars.

I'm all the way down in the rear. I have 3 or 4 threads up front. I think I'll try to take the perches out and match the front.

Any safety issues with perches out?

Im not really 100% sure either way about the safety with perches out. All i know is that tons of people do it and i havent heard of any problems. Did you already take the helper springs out?
