First Official Images of BMW's All-New 5-Series Released
Starting with the refreshed E90/E92 3-series, and continuing on to the F01 7-series, BMW has been making an effort to remove many of the polarizing design elements introduced by the much-maligned former design chief, Chris Bangle.
The new F10 5-series eschews the elegant, almost subdued lines of the E60 5-series, replacing them with more aggressive and sporty lines. The new 5-series certainly brings back the appearance of a true sports sedan, more reminiscent of it's more agile smaller sibling (3-series) than of it's more luxurious larger sibling (7-series).
BMW has not released any official specs yet, nor have they officially unveiled the car in person yet, we just have the official photos to go by. But what we do know is the car will be slightly longer, offering more legroom for rear passengers. The car will be offered with 4 gas engines and 3 diesel engines, including the top-range 4.4L twin-turbo V8 and a 240HP 2.8L inline-six (like any BMW should).
More details can be found in the official Press Release.
